The museums of Castelfranco di Sotto, Fucecchio, Montopoli Valdarno, S. Miniato, and S. Maria a Monte and the museums of the Diocese of San Miniato belong to the Valdarno di Sotto Museum System, established in 2007 with the support of the Regione Toscana and the Provincia di Pisa. The aim of the System is to coordinate and integrate the activities of the museums. The goal is to raise the effectiveness and efficiency of staff training, advertising, external communications, with services provides to educate and increase awareness and appreciation among local communities and visitors of local archaeological, historical-artistic
and natural heritage.
